India’s Poultry Powerhouse: Over 3,000 Traders Unite in Raipur to Shape the Future of Protein Consumption

Raipur, Chhattisgarh: In a landmark move for the Indian poultry industry, more than 3,000 poultry traders from across the country flocked to Raipur for India’s largest poultry conclave, organized by the IB Group. The event marks a bold leap toward transforming India into a global leader in protein production—with Chhattisgarh aiming to emerge as the country’s “Protein Hub” by 2035.

The IB Group’s Managing Director, Bahadur Ali, laid out an ambitious vision aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s broader goal of a developed India by 2047. “We’re not just building a business—we’re building a healthier India,” Ali declared, emphasizing the pivotal role chicken protein is set to play in the Indian diet.

With increasing support from both central and state governments, chicken is no longer just a meal—it’s becoming a daily essential. Ali drew comparisons with Europe and the USA, where protein-rich diets are the norm. “We are striving to make protein an everyday essential here in India,” he said.

But the conclave wasn’t just about big numbers and bold visions. It was also rooted in grassroots impact. One of the most talked-about ideas? Launching a chicken protein shop for every 1,500 people. This could be a game-changer for rural India—creating jobs, boosting incomes, and making high-quality protein accessible to all.

At Eggora, we believe this is just the beginning. With over 70,000 farmers already connected through our platform, we’re excited to see the poultry industry taking center stage in the conversation about health, nutrition, and rural development.

The future is protein-powered—and it’s happening now.
